Today, the under 16s suffered a heavy defeat against a strong, quick and agile fishguard side. We started off with a lack of intensity as normal but with some good tackles and carries from the forwards and some signs of promise coming from the backs. However, despite our hard work, we kept on conceding. Our strongest period came towards the end of the first half when Liam came close to scoring after a big carry. The ball was then knocked on and we found ourselves 26-0 down at half time.

Again in the second half, we never really showed any hunger to win apart from the odd big carry and tackle. Their pace and good handling skills was what killed us though. We struggled to shuffle across the pitch and make first up tackles today. After some more good play from fishguard, the final whistle blew with the game ending god knows how much - 0 with fishguard taking a well deserved W.

Remember this was our first game since Vardre boys and for some players it was only their first or second game since tag so keep your heads up. Special mention to Raf who played his first game today and showed good aggression, good shift mate. We have a lot to work on but we can only do that if everyone makes an effort to come training every week. Good effort today boys, see you wednesday.
