First game of the season for the under 7s and 8s mixed against Narberth and what a brilliant game. Within seconds of the kick off Llangwm showed their attacking intent with a try in the corner, Narberth quickly responded with two tries of their own but Llangwm continued to work hard in defence - well organised by Gethin. They were brilliantly led from the front by captain Freddie N, who scored 3 tries of his own. What was very pleasing to see was everyone got involved in ball carrying, great carries from Freddie C, Charlie, Ashton who scored a great try, Steffan and Iolo. Even when met with solid defence by Narberth, players did not have too look far for a support runner who took the ball on and kept stretching Narberth to each touch line, Iestyn, Gethin and Teddy (3) all scoring tries because of their hard work in support, despite Narberth making many changes throughout the game, (nearly 3 teams) Llangwm kept the energy level high right until the final whistle severel times getting to 6 tags and earning a turnover. Charlie, both Freddies and Teddy getting great tags at pivotal moments when Llangwm were camped on their own line. End result Llangwm 9 Narberth 5 great work and attitude see you Wednesday.
