U12's 27th Oct 2024

Good evening all!
Yesterday, your U12’s had the pleasure of travelling over the beautiful Preseli Hills en route to the town of Cardigan where we played a round robin with themselves and Crymych.
We played the hosts first, knowing that this would be a tough game due to us coming second best to them a month ago.
Full credit to Cardigan, they started fast and strong and their momentum didn’t shift.
It wasn’t long before they got 3 tries on the scoreboard.
Llangwm looking a little sluggish and not really up for the fight.
Loosing far too many times at the ruck, which was disappointing as they’ve been nailing it at training over the last few weeks.
We spoke at half time about wanting it more… more determination, more effort.
The second half saw the wasps up the tempo a bit more but Cardigan were still the more dominant side.
Credit to the Llangwm lads, they didn’t stop, and soon got their deserved try through the ever galloping Ollie Davies!
This boy is improving every week and is an absolute work horse!
A mention must also go to Noah.
His efforts and defensive play is simply brilliant… this boy is a tackling machine!
Final score
Cardigan 40 Llangwm 5
Before taking the field to take on Crymych, the cry was to continue working hard, more determination, more dog. Don’t over complicate things and keep the play simple.
The wasps definitely started better this time. The intensity had risen and they looked a bit more hungry.
Crymych snuck through to open up the scoring, but Llangwm bounced back pretty sharply through a truly brilliant run up the wing through debutant Oscar!
His first game, his first touch and his first try!! Sweeeet!!! 💪
Llangwm were attacking well and just when it looked like we were in for another try, a pass was intercepted on the Crymych 22, and they ran in for a sole crushing try.
That hurt the wasps but it didn’t stop the efforts.
Big forward efforts from Tom, Gethin and Longers saw our big man get his hands on the ball yet again….
Ollie ‘the destroyer’ Davies powered through the Crymych defence, they simply got flatterned while the big man was on his charge… try time… to the delights of his fan club on the sidelines!
The game was close with 3 minutes to play but yet again Crymych managed to sneak past a lazy defence to put the game to bed.
Final score
Crymych 26 Llangwm 12
We definitely need more effort and desire, but this is a team that’s developing together with the introduction of several new players who are finding their feet, but they are all doing a sterling job and should be very proud of themselves.
Oscar, Travis, Chester and Dougie were fantastic yesterday. All showing true bravery and excellent off loading skills.
Well done boys!! 👏👏
Big thanks to Cardigan for being great hosts.
Huge thanks to the parents for travelling a distance again.  And for being loud and proud as always from the stands!
Training Wednesday at 6.30pm.
