For our last “home” game of the season, this morning our U7s welcomed St David’s to Pembroke’s 4G pitch, preemptively booked by Rhiannon and Nick to ensure the kids had a chance for a run out, whatever the weather. And 13 Wasps, and their parents, braved the high winds to battle it out with St David’s team of 6. 
It’s hard to manage a large squad, especially on a cold and windy morning. We’d love nothing more than to let each player have a full 40 minutes every Sunday, but they all showed great team spirit, and were ready to play when it was their turn. 
It was another fast paced game this morning with some brilliant performances in attack by Luca, Jacob, Evan, Niall, Rhys, Sofia, Reuben, Louie and Alex. We were deadly in attack again, and after a slow first 5 minutes we got tighter in defence and forced a couple of turnovers in the later stages of the game, with some crucial tags by Nia, Evan, Iwan, Alex, Luca, Edward and Archie. 
The 6 brave kids that made the journey from St David’s really stuck together and managed to earn a draw. It was a pleasure to play against them this morning.
