The awesome Llangwm u12’s welcomed St David’s this morning to a cold and gluey Pill Parks for……. Normally 40 minutes of rugby but we never got that far 😉
After a bruising training session Friday night where the coaches put the players through the ringer and got them ready to go hard at the similar jersey wearing saints and to not give them an inch the wasps carried out our game plan to perfection and Rowan scored almost immediately form kick off, he then added a second with pure pace and power to which you you could see the saints head drop, the wasps were in full flight with Spencer and Louie making gaps and George organising everything in the forwards, that gave space to the backs and the absolute maverick that is Noah used all his pace and quick thinking to beat the saints defence to get his first try in a Llangwm shirt…… to add insult to injury he then banged the conversion over as well…. Legend 👍
The wasps were in full flow, Stan was hitting brick walls with his carries and Ashton and Morgan were at every breakdown like flies on……
The angles that Ollie H was making were unbelievable and we was rewarded with his hard work with a cracking smash and grab. But the best try of the half came from a high ball from Noah that Rowan gathered, 2 off loads later from both Albert and Harry and Noah was in for his Second try of the day, this put the mighty wasps up 34-0 at half time.
The second half showed the wasps in there best light with Rowan again scoring two and Ollie harper bulldozing his way over for his second  of the day but the defence was a joy to watch with Jac LLewellyn smashing there best play consistently at the scrum to give him no space and Nico flattening anything that came at him. Mason also has to have a shout for his relentless carries today and willingness to get stuck in, Carwyn took a beautiful ( sonny bill Williams) offload from Harry and carried hard, Noah D was his usual absolute pain was in the arse at the breakdown but carried plenty today which is a massive positive, both seth and Ryan D carried well to a point where they beat several players but Ryan’s impressive work rate is joy to behold and his improvement over the past few months has been outstanding.
With 14 minutes left of the half Ryan L made huge meters with 4 saints players hanging off him but he just kept going like the good player he is and offloaded to Spencer who again made his holes but the ball then found itself to Isaac who made one of his usual darting runs and beat several saints players in a fantastic run.
The next play saw Harry gather it and go full Sod it and he beat half the saints the with quick feet but got stopped 5 meters our with a great last ditch tackle but he did brilliantly to pop off the floor to a waiting Ollie Evans to cross for his first ever try in rugby!!! We are all delighted for Ollie who joined us this year and this try will boost his confidence no end 💪
The saints coach then asked for the game to end with 14 minutes left of the half 😞

This is the first time we have ever 0 an opposition team and the boys played out of there skin today, they gave Saints absolutely nothing today and showed us all how good they can be. 💛thanks to everyone today, players and parents and it was great to be back in the club again afterwards as well and a massive thanks to Laura Claire for keeping the ship afloat there!
